NAIVASHA TOWN
NAIVASHA AS A TOURIST ATTRACTION CENTRE
Naivasha is a town in Nakuru County, Kenya. The distance from Nairobi to Naivasha is approximately 90 km and takes about 1 hour 30 minutes drive. To get to Naivasha you can use the Naivasha-Nakuru highway.
Naivasha is a small town but currently it's developing rapidly. There are banks, hotels, supermarkets and malls. The largest mall in Naivasha is Bufallo Mall.
The town is mostly known as a tourist town because of Lake Naivasha which has lots of hippos and flamingos. It attracts both local and international tourists who come for camping, boat rides, fishing etc. There are also best resorts which offer accommodation for tourists at an affordable price eg Enashipai Resort. Large scale fishing is also done at the lake but at times it's prohibited to fish at the lake due to scarcity of fish. The most common type of fish caught at the lake is tilapia.
The town's weather is relatively hot but still the heat is bearable. The best time to visit the town is from August to December since the weather is warm and there are alot of activities to do is such kind weather.
